Children Services of Hampton Roads
 Welcome to the new website of Carpe Diem of Virginia, Children’s Services of Hampton Roads, and Hampton Roads Childcare. Our new site went live in September of 2008. Please create an account so you can make comments in our new Rants and Raves section. It is a great place for all of us to share our positive and negative experiences with some of the things in our community. We want quality businesses and products to succeed, and we want to help our friends and neighbors to steer clear of lesser businesses and products.
I am also pleased to announce the successful conclusion of our first annual Carpe Diem’s Fall Festival. It was a big success. I know our kids, social workers, team members, and foster parents had a great time. If you are a social worker with foster care children on your caseload please give us a call about the event, and we will look into helping you be a part of our Carpe Diem Kid’s Gear.

Carpe Diem recently implemented an Employee Recognition Program that recognizes employees for each anniversary with the agency. Significant anniversaries such as 5, 10, 15 years etc. will be recognized by awarding each employee who reaches this milestone with a catalog from which they can choose their gift selection. Employees can go online to a web site specifically designed for Carpe Diem to order the gift that will be shipped directly to their home. Employees who reach these milestones are also given a pin that recognizes the number of years of service.
Since this program is new, the agency wanted to recognize all team members who have reached significant milestones. Each team member received an award packet that contained a letter of congratulations for accomplishing this milestone, a certificate of appreciation, and a catalog of gifts from which they could choose their recognition award.
Congratulations to all team members and thank you for all your years of dedicated service to Carpe Diem of Virginia and the children we serve.
